Our Alcohol and Drug Helpline is in place to assist individuals throughout the state who are troubled with alcohol and other drugs to access our services through our trained Helpline volunteers and our Program Coordinator.

Alcoholism and other drug dependence is a major concern to all in Rhode Island. One out of every 10 individuals is involved with alcohol and other drug abuse; 10% of our population consumes 65% of all alcohol purchased; for every person afflicted with the disease of alcoholism, there are 4 others affected and many of them are children. 

The Helpline encourages individuals to call and confidentially review his or her situation with our highly trained referral specialists. The caller then receives information and specific sources of treatment, whether it is in-patient, outpatient counseling, support groups, etc.  It is essential that individuals and families throughout the state can call our toll free number 24-7, to talk with someone confidentially and get help.
